Description

C’est parti ! is a core resource for new FSL learners. It contains three levels: C’est parti ! 1 for students in grade 4; C’est parti ! 2 for students in grade 5; and C’est parti ! 3 for students in grade 6.

Each grade level has five (5) stand-alone units. A unit consists of a Student Module and a complete Teacher’s Resource Guide. Units can be purchased separately or together.

The Teacher’s Resource Guide is packaged with a DVD-ROM and a 7-year web access to all program components: the digital Student Module, digital Teacher’s Guide, and multimedia resources.

It contains:

  • An appropriate teaching and learning environment to meet the listening, speaking, reading, and writing strands
  • Authentic learning contexts with engaging situations and tasks to help students develop their critical and creative thinking skills
  • A strong emphasis on oral interaction
  • An action-oriented approach that integrates the principles of the CEFR within daily practices
  • Explicit teaching of comprehension strategies and a scaffolding process to create autonomous and independent student learners
  • High-interest cultural content to promote a spirit of inclusion and help students learn more about Canadian francophone communities

  • Access reproducible line masters including activity sheets, flash cards, evaluation sheets and the student portfolio
  • Create groups and share notes and documents with students if they have their own digital access to the resource
  • Access multimedia content such as songs, videos, IWB activities
  • Work offline without an Internet connection
